One of the preeminent jazz vocalists of our time, Dianne Reeves was at the height of her powers having released three straight GRAMMY-winning albums when she recorded her first-ever holiday album Christmas Time Is Here in 2004. The collection featured Reeves’ longtime trio of pianist Peter Martin, bassist Reuben Rogers, and drummer Greg Hutchinson with special guests including guitarist Romero Lubambo, saxophonist Steve Wilson, and vibraphonist Joe Locke performing fresh and innovative interpretations of holiday standards ranging from simple balladry, torchy love songs, and delicate folk arrangements, to finger-popping up-tempo tunes and bossa nova flavored arrangements.
